Subhan Allah

''Subḥān Allāh'' () is an Arabic phrase often incorrectly translated as "Glorious is God".
It is mentioned in the hadith Sahih Bukhari, VBN 5, 57, 50.〔http://www.sahih-bukhari.com/Pages/Bukhari_5_57.php〕
The phrase can be translated as a testification of removing any anthropomorphic elements or associations with God, and attributing total perfection to Him, also removing any associations of mistakes or faults to him as al-Razi says in his Mukhtar al-Sihah, which is the meaning of the word(تنزيه tanziyh) Also, "Glory (be) to God". For example, it says; "SubhanAllahi ammaa yasifoon"〔http://quran.com/37/159 37:159〕 "Glory be to God (who is free from) that which they describe" and "SubhanAllah ammaa yushrikoon"〔http://quran.com/52/43 52:43〕 "Glory be to God from what they associate with him."....there is no counterpart for this word in the English language so all the above meanings combined hold the meaning of that word.〔http://islamqa.info/ar/104047〕
It is also often cited during the Islamic prayer (salat), or during the sermon (khutba) in the Mosques.
Qul hāḏihi sabīl-ī ʾadʿū ʾilā l-lāhi ʿalā baṣīratin ʾanā wa-mani ttabaʿa-nī wa-subḥāna llāhi wa-mā ʾanā mina l-mušrikīna (قُلْ هَـذِهِ سَبِيلِي أَدْعُو إِلَى اللّهِ عَلَى بَصِيرَةٍ أَنَاْ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِي وَسُبْحَانَ اللّهِ وَمَا أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ )This is my path and way. Those who follow Islam and I preach about Islam and invite everyone to Islam and to worship Allah as the Only God with wisdom, intuition and insight. And Subhan Allah (exalted is He, He is truly totally perfect, and I distance Him from all faults, human attributions and mistakes); and I am not of those who associate others with Him.)〔http://library.islamweb.net/newlibrary/display_book.php?idfrom=855&idto=855&bk_no=49&ID=869〕
Muslims are also encouraged to say Subhan'Allah 33 times after prayer and throughout the day. The prophet has taught Muslims that it is one of the 4 praises that Allah likes Muslims to say continuously.
